Imagine being diagnosed with an incurable illness. Just think – what if today were the last day of your life....
What would you do? What would you give for a few extra years to spend time with your family, take the trip you always dreamed about, pursue the career you never had? Would you dance, golf, fish, paint, climb a mountain, run a marathon, write a novel?
Now imagine how you’d feel if you discovered you could have prevented that illness from ever happening in the first place. This is the premise of U.S. Preventive Medicine®, a company in the business of helping people – people like you – take charge of their own health care so they can enjoy More Good Years™.
Preventive medicine is not a new concept but it’s slowly transforming the way people think about health care. Based on the idea that it’s much easier, cost effective and better for the individual to prevent disease rather than cure it, U.S. Preventive Medicine was founded by people and for people who believe in proactive, preventive medical care.
U.S. Preventive Medicine is currently developing a national system Centers for Preventive Medicine, called The U.S. Prevention Network. The Centers will be established on site at the nation’s top hospitals and will leverage the latest diagnostic technologies and proven preventive-interventional therapies.
Our approach is a simple two-step process involving diagnosis and preventive treatment. Our testing and imaging services provide you with the knowledge needed to assess your risk for certain chronic ailments. Physician consultations and health counseling ensure that you fully understand test results and implications and provide you with strategies to better manage your health and minimize future risks.
For years, the only people who could afford preventive medicine were top executives and the wealthy. The Center for Preventive Medicine believes in making quality preventive care available to more Americans. Our Centers make it easier for people from a range of income levels to receive high quality diagnostic testing and screening.
As our network develops, our local Centers will offer a uniform, consistent preventive experience across the country, regardless of the Center you visit. The U.S. Prevention Network is a learning community with a network of medical experts who are continually sharing knowledge and experiences. As new technologies, procedures and treatments are developed, our network will continue to develop the best possible preventive health programs.
Our mission is to improve the quality of health and longevity of every individual who enters our Centers. We will achieve this by partnering with physicians, hospitals and employers – and most importantly with you – to organize and advance a culture of prevention, resulting in More Good Years for you and your family.
